UNITED VS PALACE – MATCH PREVIEW
Jose Mourinho’s red devils will look to make it another month unbeaten as Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace travel to Old Trafford on Saturday.
Jose’s men will look to end the month and go into the international break with an unbeaten start to season.
In this article we will preview the big match.
It’s just getting better and better week by week for the red devils as they swamped aside CSKA Moscow 4-1 away. Lukaku looks bargain. Martial looks to have put the last season behind him. And what to say about Matic. He, to me is the business of the summer transfer. He’s everywhere. Puts in 100% efforts during games and leads us.
Coming to the game tomorrow (30/09/2017) Jose has injury problems.
Carrick is out so is Fellaini, Jones and Pogba along with long term absentees Zlatan and Rojo. Antonio Valencia is also a concern for the match. So the manager has a selection headache.
De Gea is a surety to start in goal. He was brilliant against Moscow.
Expect Young to start. He provides the width from deeper positions and is probably the best crosser in the squad. Blind also had a very good game against Moscow and overlapped down the left and supported Martial to the fullest of his capabilities. Bailly and Smalling are obvious choices for the centre back positions. Lindelof could also make his Premier League debut.
Midfield. And we have only 2 genuine deep options. And those 2 are Matic and Herrera. Scott Mctominay could be named on the bench as a backup midfielder.
Attacking midfield should comprise of Juan Mata; Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford. After that kind of a performance in the champions league against Moscow, Martial was a sure starter. But he limped out of the game after 70 minutes and is injury doubt for tomorrow. Unless injured, MARTIAL MUST START.
Romelu Lukaku should lead the line again. 10 goals in 9 games is not a JOKE. Whomsoever you may play against, scoring goals is never an easy task. And 10 in 9 is never ever easy. And it looks more impressive. Considering he’s played his 9 games for Manchester United.
PLAYER TO WATCH OUT FOR:
Romelu Lukaku. Spoken a lot about him already. Against a toothless Palace without their best player and that being a Manchester United youngster who can’t play against his parent club, expect him to fire us to victory.
While Manchester United are praying that the 5th goal should arrive in 1 game, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is wanting the club’s first goal in the league this season. And to make things worse, Lukaku’s international strike counterpart Christian Benteke has been ruled out for the Old Trafford showdown. Palace also miss former United winger Wilfried Zaha who is also out injured. Palace are craving for goals and against a strong defensive wall of Manchester United I can see them struggling again especially without a striker. But they have a good attacking midfield. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a good talent. Andros Townsend on his day can be a great player. But Palace need goal scorers to finish chances they create and with both strikers out, expect Bakary Sako to lineup as the NO.9.
PLAYER TO WATCH OUT FOR:
MAMADOU SAKHO. Mama Sakho is a warrior. He loves a battle and would love one against Romelu Lukaku. If he defnds well, Palace have a good chance to get away with something.
Well, it surely has to be easy for the Red Devils. But, Every PL game is tough. Home or away. But this is as easy as it comes and I don’t see Palace scoring AGAIN.
Manchester United 5-0 Crystal Palace.
Manchester United 2- 0 Crystal Palace (Josh Harrop, Paul Pogba) Old Trafford, 21 may 2017.
